Helen Casey Joins Architects West as a Landscape Designer
Helen Casey has joined the team at Architects West as a Landscape designer.  Helen earned her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Idaho (Go Vandals!). She hopes to use her experiences to create positive and welcoming spaces in our local and regional communities, while exercising environmental design and the use of native plant species. When not working, her hobbies include hiking, painting, spending time with family and friends, and going for walks with Koi, her Border Collie mix. Current projects Helen is working on include two for Lakeland School District, including the new Timberlake High School Field House, Mountain West Bank Remodel, and master planning for Canopy Village.
 
Jacob Mayfield Joins Architects West as BIM Technician
Architects West is pleased to welcome Jacob Mayfield to the team as a BIM Technician. Jacob recently received his Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Technology from Spokane Community College. His background includes service in the United States Army with a focus on using technology and software, as well as hands-on experience in both building and landscape construction industries—skills that contribute to a well-rounded foundation for his new role in architecture. A native of Chattaroy, Washington, Jacob enjoys taking full advantage of the Inland Northwest's outdoor recreation opportunities. Whether out on the water fishing for bass or on the green playing golf, he finds balance in the outdoors. He also enjoys spending time with his family and his beloved pets—a cat and two dogs.  Jacob is currently on the design team for the addition and modernization to multiple structures at four locations for the Southern Idaho Solid Waste District. We’re excited to have Jacob on board and look forward to the great work he’ll contribute to our projects and team.
