Sunshine Health Facilities began in 1949 as the vision of Ellen C. Craig, a woman who cared deeply for people and wanted to provide a safe, loving environment they could no longer live independently.

Sharing Ellen’s vision, the next generation of her family joined her mission to enrich the lives of those advanced in years or who need assistance due to illness, injury, or a medical condition. Ellen’s vision became Sunshine Health Facilities, which continues to be owned by Ellen's family and who work to further Ellen’s vision of improving the health and wellness of those in need.

Today, Sunshine Health Facilities is known as a trusted provider of home health, rehabilitation, enhanced assisted living, senior housing, memory care, and inpatient behavioral health treatment.
