About Us

The Spokane Symphony stands as the largest and most dynamic professional performing arts organization in the Inland Northwest. This legacy was established with the Spokane Philharmonic’s incorporation in 1942 and its evolution into the Spokane Symphony Society in 1962.

Under the artistic leadership of Music Director James Lowe, the 70-piece professional orchestra brings music to life for more than 150,000 listeners each season. From powerful symphonic performances to enriching educational programs, the Symphony delivers a vibrant range of experiences that inspire audiences of all ages.

The Spokane Symphony is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees and enjoys the generous support of the more than 300-member Spokane Symphony Associate volunteer organization.
