With more than 20 million doors produced and installed since 1935, Hörmann, based in Germany, now operates 40 highly specialized factories worldwide. Here in North America, Hörmann operates six modern manufacturing facilities and 23 sectional door distribution centers, delivering a complete range of door (including high-performance, sectional and residential) and dock systems.
To expand brand awareness across the country, Hörmann North America launched a Proudly Made In Campaign, which promotes the Hörmann brand in each region we call home, and where manufacturing facilities are located. With our Proudly Made in the Pacific Northwest campaign, we reflect on the rich heritage Hörmann adopted in this region when they acquired Northwest Door in 2015:
•Northwest Door began in 1966 with the purchase of Crawford Door by the DeWitt family.
•In 1970, the company began building wood doors, and the name Northwest Door became widely known.
•In 2012, Northwest Door operated six distribution centers.
•By 2012, Northwest Door was manufacturing a full range of both residential and commercial garage doors.
While other manufacturers have moved operations and manufacturing out of the Pacific Northwest, Hörmann remains dedicated and continues to build, expand, and prioritize this region in the USA. We are now the only door manufacturer still investing in manufacturing in the Pacific Northwest as exemplified with our incredible, new Spokane Sales Center, that's conveniently located to serve the greater Spokane Valley!
