ABOUT THE JOB: Arbor Crest Wine Cellars is seeking an Assistant Tasting Room Manager  to join our team!  Our Assistant Tasting Room Manager is an ambassador for Arbor Crest and is individually responsible for each visitor’s impressions. From wine tasting parties, to concerts and private events held at the Cliff House Estate, we strive to develop lasting relationships with our guests. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual who is interested in gaining experience and learning more about the wine industry!
 
JOB DUTIES, EXPECTATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Product sales including but not limited to: meeting team sales goals, promoting and selling wine club memberships and enhancing guest experience by offering other products and/or services
  • Maintain professionalism and positivity
  • Maintain and expand wine knowledge and participate in monthly staff trainings
  • Develop sales skills through education and training
  • Understand and practice responsible hospitality
  • Communicate and provide support to all team members
  • Follow procedures and comply with company policies
  • Ensure the safety of guests
  • Inventory control
  • Menu development
  • Shipping order management
  • Employee management including scheduling
  • Employee training
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time as well as work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Operate POS system, ring in sales, handle cash quickly and accurately
  • Precisely document inventory transactions
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment
REQUIREMENTS:
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years old
  • Class 12 MAST Permit
  • Food Worker’s Permit
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:
  • This position is year round with increased hours May through September
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday availability are required
  • Part-time, hourly
