The musical highlights the stories of Laura Ingalls Wilder's family life from six Little House books. The stage adaptation follows the Ingalls family journey westward and settlement in DeSmet, South Dakota, where Ma and Pa Ingalls hope to make a better life for their children. The story focuses on Laura's journey as she grows from a child into a woman who remains true to herself and embraces the future. The production is told through song and dance of both the hardships as well as the rejoicing of the settlement of new land. Presented outdoors at the CenterPlace West Lawn Plaza, this new family musical will move, inspire and enrich audiences of all ages to embrace the pioneer spirit together!
"Full of the same tender moments, light-hearted humor, and tragedies that have made the books so enduring, the "Little House" musical delivers a happy ending as Pa blesses the union of Laura and Almanzo." -Examiner.com review
