Library Community Connect
Library Community Connect provides the opportunity for multiple organizations and service providers from around Spokane County to bring their services directly to community members at one location. Get direct access to services and get your questions answered during this event. The following organizations are scheduled to offer services and information:
- CHAS Health’s Mobile Unit: Staff can assist with medication refills, wound care, treatment of acute injury and illness, referrals to primary care and specialists, lab draws, and give flu and Covid vaccinations.
- CVSD Early Learning Center: Get access to free preschool! Learn about the many ways to qualify for ECEAP at Central Valley School District.
- DSHS Mobile Office: Staff can determine financial eligibility for cash and food assistance programs, help submit new applications, and see about renewing benefits and/or making changes for active cases. Staff can also issue vouchers to obtain an ID card, EBT cards, and determine eligibility for Medicare Savings Programs and Medicaid.
- Treehouse: Get help understanding the educational needs of youth in foster care. Staff can assist with basic needs such as clothing, school and job supplies, as well extracurricular activities, such as driver education.
- Spokane Valley Community Advocates: Staff offers residents of Spokane Valley support and help navigating resources and services in the community.
This is a drop-in event, and services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
