Managing a Multi-Generational Workforce
In the next five years, there will be five generations represented in the workplace. Twenty-eight year-old's will be managing employees old enough to be their grandparents. The potential for age discrimination lawsuits is on the rise as supervisors grapple with performance based issues. Working in a team environment is getting more difficult as communication preferences vary widely across generations.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn more about the challenges facing supervisors who must motivate and manage several generations at once
- Understand the work habits and preferences of each
- Identify what words work with what age group?and what words or phrases can turn them off
- Discover what you can do strengthen your team through focusing on each generation?s unique perspectives
- Create a more collaborative environment that creates an atmosphere for all to succeed
Ideal for hiring managers and supervisors who are tasked with meeting the demands of managing a diverse age group.
