Business Connections Breakfast - Normalize Mental Health in the Workplace
Mental Health in the Work Place Panel
Normalize Mental Health in the Workplace
We all are under stress. We all experience moments of anxiety and/or various stages of depression from time to time. How employers engage and support employees who are experiencing difficult times can make a major difference in successful recovery.
During this panel discussion we aim to create a bridge between the youth in our community and those currently in the workplace, recognizing that all ages are impacted. Moreover, the impact is not felt by just the person who may be experiencing mental health challenges, it can also be felt by those all around them, both at home and at work. By addressing this topic head on, businesses can find solutions to reducing costs associated with absenteeism, presenteeism, turnover, and decreased productivity, which are often more significant than most employers understand.
